Meghan Hinkle

In high school, Hinkle (Wolfer) was a four-year starter for Allentown Central Catholic where she was an All-EPC, All-Area, and PA Coaches Association All-State selection. Her team team was district runner up her junior year. She also captained the volleyball team and was on CCHS’ first state championship team.

After high school, Meghan began a standout career at Penn State University. In total, she started 179 games for the Nittany Lions. During her freshman year she batted .318 earning All-Big Ten honors in 2004. Her sophomore season was slowed after 38 games when she fractured her kneecap in a doubleheader at Pittsburgh. Her junior year was highlighted by a seven game hitting streak and having nine multiple hit games while leading the team with 16 sacrifice hits in 53 games played. She finished her career hitting .300 her senior year and leading the team in sacrifice hits for the third straight year. During the summer seasons, she played for the Lehigh Valley Extreme and the Lady Gators.

After Penn State, Hinkle played one season of professional softball with the Philadelphia Force. She has spent the past three seasons coaching high school softball at Northampton, Catasauqua, and Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ).
