Over the years, LVBA has been the only baseball academy in the Lehigh Valley to create programs for the “baseball only” athlete to train year round. We have always encouraged our multi-sport athletes to continue to enjoy and compete in all the sports they love, while also making sure the baseball-only athletes have a place to train year round.

After many inquiries, the Director of Baseball Operations, Dylan Dando, developed a year-round program in 2014 for young athletes who choose to play baseball only and/or want to make a year-round commitment to baseball.

The LVBA Grassroots program is the first of its kind. We acknowledge that the kids who grow up in a baseball environment and learn the game at an earlier age have a distinct advantage over other players. This program will give everyone who wants the opportunity to “Grow up in baseball”, the ability to do so.

Velocity & Arm Care Program with
Sean Heimpel & Brett Palanski
Softball
The goal of this camp is to prepare any player who wants to play a middle infield position at the college level. It will provide not only mechanical instruction, but discussion of the mental aspects of playing the middle infield, as well as everyday drills that can be utilized in the future to keep these skills sharp. Upon completion of the camp, each infielder will be left with a detailed plan that identifies individual points of focus for future development.

Here are just a few comments from clients currently in the program:

"I would recommend this program to anyone with strong interest in improving and learning the game." -- Robert S.

"Great instruction. I travel over an hour to get to your facility during rush hour and feel the ride is worth the hassle considering the enjoyment my son derives from his experience with you folks. Thank Brett for sharing his knowledge." -- Mike W.

Introduction:
Dando, as GM and Field Manager of the Allentown Railers, compiled a 125-45 record over the past four seasons in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball league (ACBL). His team has been leading or near the top of the league in many key offensive categories as it relates to run production. Teaching and coaching a solid hitting approach has been the key to the Railers success on offense.

Objective:
The goal of this program is to focus on all the aspects of hitting. Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy has developed a philosophy of hitting over the years which has now been put into an offseason hitting program. Our goal is to help hitters with mechanical flaws that may have been preventing them from performing at their optimal level. Not only are we focusing on the mechanical and physical part of hitting, but also the mental part of hitting. There are many players out there that have all the physical ability in the world, but have difficulty succeeding due to the lack of a strong mental approach.

This program is not just for pitchers either, whether you are throwing down to 2nd base, making a throw across the diamond, or throwing someone out from the outfield, everyone can benefit from a stronger, more durable, healthier arm. During this 10 week program players will go through an intense arm care regimen 2 times a week for an hour and 20 mins each session. Each player will get a base radar gun reading before we start, there will be gun readings week 1, 5, and 10 to track progress.

Over the years and after numerous conversations with players, coaches and parents, the number one thing lacking at the Varsity and JV levels is individual player time.

Individual time meaning an ability for high school players to maintain the number of reps they got during the the winter with swings, ground balls, etc. There just simply is not enough practice time during a high school season to maintain the reps you need.

Players who have put the time in during the winter and come into their seasons ready to go absolutely need to maintain the same number of reps throughout the season.

We have developed a program for high school players to help with maintaining these reps and addressing the needs of all high school players so they can maintain form throughout the season.

Dylan Dando, Director of Baseball Operations with LVBA, would like to personally invite you to train with us this Summer.

Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy has recognized a need for players to train in-season.

We feel it’s a vital part of keeping your game sharp as well as for continued growth and can be every bit as important as off-season training.

The program will consist of: Baseball training two days per week (June, July, & August) with a strength and speed component to be included. Players will be trained by our Professional and knowledgeable staff in the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, and fielding.

Maintain your off-season gains, maximize your recovery, and reduce your risk of injury so you can have your best season yet.
